Welcome to Auntie's Mini-Farm!

Hey there! I'm Auntie! 

We have an urban homestead on a 1/4 of an acre in the middle of the city, with 15 fruit trees, a garden, two dogs, a cat, and amusing chickens, ducks, geese, and bunnies (and probably more endeavors to come!).

From childhood, I've loved animals and dreamt of having my own farm someday. Fast forward to three years ago when I realized I could live a more sustainable life with a little hard work and imagination in my new home, even if it wasn't on a lot of acreage. My garden-helper nephew and niece were more than thrilled when I added some chickens to the mix. Thus Aunties Mini-Farm was born! 

As a Montessori-inspired former special educator and administrator, passing along my knowledge and skills with animals and gardening with the next generation in a hands-on experience grew into the Mini-Farm Science Camp.

Our goal is to keep you updated on the farm antics and products as well as share our experience of urban homesteading with you. And at the very least, inspire you to teach your own kids how to care for plants and animals too!
